Each year on the first Saturday in August, Whitney White Linen Night takes over downtown New Orleans with a sea of white attire. This event honors talented local artists and galleries along Julia Street in Downtown New Orleans with an evening of gallery hopping, food, drinks, and fun.

As part of White Linen Night, the Contemporary Arts Center hosted a celebration of art with the opening of their latest exhibition, Constructing The Break. After viewing the new exhibition and checking out what the CAC had to offer downstairs, The Shop members and their white linen-adorned guests traveled up to the third floor to continue the fun in The Shop Commons area. Members sipped on local craft beer and booze, mingled, and took a break from the crowded streets filled with event-goers right below them.
