Every Tuesday in January: King Cake in the Commons

The Shop is providing members with a different king cake every Tuesday to celebrate Mardi Gras season. We’ll scour the city to bring you a taste of many styles. Have a suggestion or request? Let us know and we’ll work our magic!

January 6th: Carnival Season Begins

The 2024 Carnival Season is here! Celebrate with some King Cake and by checking out one of the many parades happening around town on Saturday, January 6th. Carnival Season runs through Mardi Gras day on February 13th.

January 7th: Saints vs. Falcons at Brewery Saint X

It’s sports central at Brewery Saint X.  Join them before, during, and after the game for some of the best BBQ and craft beer in New Orleans. Only a 10 minute walk to the Dome!

Time: 12:00 Kickoff

January 9th: Tuesday Pop-Up with Coco Cayenne

Join us in the commons with pop-up restaurant Coco Cayenne.

Time: 12:00pm – 2:00pm

January 18th: FOUNDER MANIA presented by Idea Village

Get a taste of things to come as The Idea Village’s newest VillageX cohort of early stage startups will present short introduction presentations in 3rd floor commons.

Shop members can drop into the commons for a peek at the companies and founders that will present later this season at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

Time: 3:00pm – 5:00pm

January 25th: Lunch Pop-Up with Soul Noodle

Soul Noodle is a southern-style udon noodle pop-up restaurant featuring a set menu and build-your-own-bowl options.

Time: 12:00pm – 2:00pm

January 25th: Member’s Mardi Gras Happy Hour

Join us on January 25th in the common area for a Mardi Gras Happy Hour! It will be a great opportunity to network with other Shop members, have a custom Mardi Gras cocktail, and meet our new Community Specialist, Sean Kline.

Time: 4:30pm – 6:30pm

January 26th: EskewDumezRipple Celebrates Day of Service Program

Beginning at 4:00pm in the commons, Eskew Dumez and Ripple will be celebrating 10 years of their Day of Service program with presentations by non-profit organization partners and refreshments.

Time: 4:00pm-5:30pm

January 26th: Pelicans vs. Thunder at Brewery Saint X

It’s sports central at Brewery Saint X.  Join them before, during, and after the game for some of the best BBQ and craft beer in New Orleans. Only a 10 minute walk to the Smoothie King Center!

January 30th: Pitch2Tech presented by Idea Village x Agile NOLA

Agile NOLA is collaborating with IDEA Village this month to bring the first-ever Pitch2Tech event to New Orleans! This event will convene startup founders to pitch their startups to technology professionals to find CTOs, Technical Mentors, and other technical roles within their startups! RSVP here to attend.
