Do you ever wish you could disappear into a pod to get all of your work done? Look no further than Framery Acoustics, the company here for the creators, innovators, and doers, for people who get it done. We sat down with fellow member, Charles Moore, to learn more about Framery, exciting product launches, and his favorite parts about his own office (spoiler alert- it’s The Shop!).

1.  Can you describe the work you do for Framery Acoustics? 

Framery Acoustics makes the best acoustic pods in the world. They are truly fantastic, and I wish we had some at The Shop!! I take care of all the code compliance issues that arise with jurisdictions across the US and Canada.  (Sprinklers/Alarms, Seismic Anchoring, ADA/Accessibility) I’m also involved with Product Development and future Building and Fire code development in the US.

2.  Are there any exciting products/projects you are working on right now? 

Yes, but I can’t really talk about it yet.  Framery is going to have an exciting year in 2024.

3. What is your favorite part about working at The Shop? 

I think the community is awesome. I love how relaxed and comfortable it is there.  I also love the events and the efforts that are put into the newsletter and the other stuff that makes it actually feel like an office.

4. How has working at The Shop benefited your overall workflow?

Yes, I get so much more done when I’m at The Shop.  It’s dedicated time to focus on work, and it’s a big bonus to have access to printers, kitchen and espresso machines.

5. Do you have a favorite place or best-kept secret of Salt Lake City / Utah?

I couldn’t think of a single thing, but here are some of my local favorites in terms of food.  I think Oqurrih is the best restaurant right now, some of my other favorites are Curry Fried Chicken, Himalayan Kitchen, Tosh’s Ramen, Takashi, and Korea House.  Walking around the Capitol building during the cherry blossom bloom (sakura) is pretty spectacular.
