At The Shop at the CAC, we are proud to host events that bring together visionary entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and forward-thinking investors. On February 5th, we are excited to welcome the FUEL Super Pitch Competition, an event showcasing groundbreaking startups focused on carbon reduction and sustainability.
Presented by Future Use of Energy in Louisiana (FUEL), this competition is part of the Louisiana Energy Transition Engine, a major initiative funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Regional Innovation Engines program. With a historic $160 million award—the largest and most competitive NSF has ever granted—plus an additional $67.5 million from Louisiana Economic Development, this initiative is accelerating Louisiana’s transition toward a cleaner energy future.
Finalists in the competition will present their innovations to a panel of judges, competing for funding and support to scale their impact. From renewable energy solutions to cutting-edge carbon capture technologies, these startups represent the next wave of environmental innovation.
The competition provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and investment in a more sustainable future. As New Orleans continues to position itself as a leader in climate-focused entrepreneurship, events like Fuel highlight the city’s growing role in the global conversation on sustainability. The Shop at the CAC is more than just a coworking space—it’s a hub for innovators, creatives, and changemakers. We are thrilled to host this event and support the next generation of entrepreneurs shaping a better world.
