At The Shop at the CAC, we’re proud to be home to a diverse community of thinkers, doers, and creatives who are shaping New Orleans in big and small ways. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Liza Smith—a Shop member whose work blends marketing savvy, creative storytelling, and a true passion for the city’s incredible food scene.
By day, Liza is part of the team at Louisiana Fish Fry, leading marketing efforts for one of the most beloved names in Southern cooking. From strategizing campaigns to helping spread the joy of flavorful, easy-to-make meals, Liza plays a key role in celebrating Louisiana’s food traditions on a larger scale.
But Liza’s connection to food doesn’t stop at the office.
Outside of work, Liza curates delicious content for their food account, @_forkitover_, where they explore and highlight the best restaurants New Orleans has to offer. Whether it’s uncovering a neighborhood gem, raving about a new dish, or simply sharing a great bite, Liza uses their platform to uplift local spots and connect people to the vibrant food culture that makes this city so special.
Liza’s story is a perfect example of what makes The Shop community thrive—people bringing their whole selves to work, blending professional passions with personal pursuits, and using creativity to build something meaningful.
We’re grateful to have Liza as part of our community and can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next!
