The Shop Brooklyn Is Hosting NY Tech Week 2026: Here’s What’s On

NY Tech Week is back. From June 1–7, founders, operators, and investors take over New York City for one of the most concentrated weeks of programming in the tech calendar. Events happen across the boroughs covering a wide range of formats including panels, dinners, workshops and demos. We are excited to be back for our second NY Tech week and to show it, we’re kicking it up a notch.

We’re hosting multiple official NY Tech Week events right here in Gowanus, and we’re excited to get things started!

From Early Traction to Repeatable Pipeline: AI GTM Workshop for Founders

Tuesday, June 2 | 5:00pm–7:00pm | The Shop Workspace, Brooklyn

Most founders do not struggle with building product. They struggle with turning early traction into repeatable, scalable pipeline.

This session (hosted by Sonya Trivedi, founder of AIMAR) is for seed to Series A founders who already have customers and need a go-to-market system that does not depend entirely on the founder’s personal network.

We will break down what a strong 90-day GTM roadmap actually looks like, covering positioning, messaging, channel priorities, and how to use AI to support execution without losing strategic direction.

Best fit for founders with paying customers who are ready to build a more structured GTM engine but are not yet ready to hire a full-time CMO.

The Human Advantage with Timm Chiusano

Wednesday, June 3 | 5:30–8:00pm | The Shop Workspace, Brooklyn

AI is quickly reshaping how we work, but the people who will stand out won’t be the most technical. They’ll be the most human. Join us at The Shop Workspace in Gowanus, Brooklyn for a conversation with Timm Chiusano on why emotional intelligence is becoming the most valuable skill in the room.

After 20+ years of experience that touched ABC Sports, ESPN, and Charter Communications, he responsibly fired myself in June of 2024 once he became clear on his purpose; help others do their best work by being the best version of themselves. Nowadays Timm, his wife Kelly and their daughter Evelyn reside in a Brooklyn row house they brought back to life after 15 years of abandonment, a quick from The Shop BK where Timm offices.

The New Beauty Counter: A Curated NYC Tech Week Experience

Thursday, June 4 | 5:00pm–8:00pm | The Shop Workspace, Brooklyn

The beauty counter used to be where you went to feel understood. You sat down, someone looked at you, asked the right questions, and helped you make sense of it all. You left with more than products. You left with clarity. That experience still matters — but the way people access it has changed. Today we have more access than ever — and people feel more overwhelmed and less seen than ever.

The New Beauty Counter is a curated experience during NYC Tech Week exploring how that feeling is evolving. How are people actually discovering and trusting beauty now? What role does retail still play — and how is it being reshaped by community, creators, and more intentional customer experiences?
And what happens when AI finally gives that experience the infrastructure it’s always deserved?

This is not a traditional panel. It is a room designed to feel like a community, with a real conversation, a live AI experience, and a Signature Glam pop-up counter where you can build your look in real time.

The evening includes the soft launch of Char, T8C’s AI beauty consultant, making its public debut. Guests take the Signature Glam Test at check-in and receive their personalized beauty identity. The room becomes a community of identities, not a group of random attendees.

BUILT by Triple Eight Creative — Live Brand Build + Char Pro Public Debut

Saturday, June 6 | 2:00pm–5:00pm | The Shop Workspace, Brooklyn

You don’t have a talent problem. You have a clarity problem.

You’ve built your career through client work, word of mouth, and real experience. But when it comes to showing up online — explaining what you do, positioning your value, translating your work into a business that actually reflects what you know — it falls apart. BUILT fixes that.

This is an invite-only, application-based working session where 5 featured builders use Char Pro — T8C’s AI brand strategist, built specifically for beauty professionals, to build their brand system in real time. Not inspiration. Not notes. An actual output you leave with.

This is also the public debut of Char Pro.

Limited to 5 featured spots. Application and 15-minute screening call required. No submission = no confirmed spot. Observers are welcome and free — founders, investors, and operators who want to watch AI translate human expertise into real business structure in real time.

This isn’t AI replacing the human. It’s AI amplifying what the human already knows — and building a brand that still centers around human connection.
