Earlier this summer, Accruent, the world’s leading provider of physical resource management solutions, announced plans to expand its global operations with a new office in New Orleans.

“Since 2012, New Orleans has led the nation in technology job growth, and we are pleased to continue this trend with the talent we need to support our strong acceleration in new technologies. We are bringing new jobs in software development, professional services, customer support, and administration,” said John Borgerding, CEO of Accruent, according to the Accruent website. “Given the vibrant corporate community and tremendous growth opportunities, New Orleans became the clear choice for our next wave of expansion.”

To kick off  their new journey. the cloud-based software company recently set up at The Shop, using workspace resources to help develop their business while they complete the transition to New Orleans. As part of this initial welcome, Accruent celebrated their NOLA opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at The Shop. Employees were joined by Mayor Latoya Cantrell onstage, who addressed the crowd and shared her enthusiasm at the mention of the future impact of the company’s move on the city.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Accruent’s New Orleans software development center to our city,” Mayor Cantrell said. “Creating approximately 350 jobs, this company will have a major impact in the lives of many families. My administration is dedicated to creating real opportunities for the people of New Orleans. That means workforce development: training and grooming our people for jobs like these.”
