Shop SLC’s First MyCommunity Partners Announced!

We are so excited to share the first-ever MyCommunity Partners for The Shop’s second location in Salt Lake City!

The MyCommunity program partners each Domain property with three local nonprofit organizations, facilitating donations and creating volunteer opportunities for residents throughout the year. Upon lease signing or renewal, residents and/or members assign a donation from Domain to one of these partners, creating steady and significant financial support. Each property strengthens this relationship through ongoing volunteerism, specialized holiday programs, collection drives, and more.

For our first year of operation, we will connect our members to volunteer opportunities with The Green Urban Lunch Box, Wild Utah Project and Equality Utah.

With a strong focus on sustainability and the greater Utah community, we are so excited to have such strongly aligned partners. Here is a little more information on each organization to amp up the excitement!

The Green Urban Lunch Box, a food justice non-profit organization that empowers people to connect to their food and community by revitalizing urban spaces and building a resilient food culture. The Green Urban Lunch Box envisions a strong network of communities centered on the cultivation of food.

Wild Utah Project whose mission is to address and prevent roadblocks to effective conservation through providing sound science and data-driven strategies to facilitate conservation goals in the state. They focus on the conservation priorities: promoting habitat connectivity, protecting species in conservation need, and restoring vital habitat.

Equality Utah whose goal is to secure equal rights and protections for LGBTQ Utahns and their families. They work to create a fair and just Utah through advocacy, policy change, trainings, forums, and events statewide.

Stay tuned for more information on how Shop Members can get involved virtually and in-person as we open this Spring.
