We have an exciting month ahead! June celebrates both Pride Month and Juneteenth, as well an official introduction to summer, and we will be focusing on them all. Our June events include a handful of nostalgic, summertime pop-ups planned throughout the month to bring out the kids in us, as well as highlighting the importance of honoring Juneteenth, and incorporating Pride into every month of the year.

Event Details: Join Utah Tech Leads in welcoming the Director of Public Outreach for Equality Utah, Olivia Jaramillo, for a special pride month event to learn how we can better allies in the workplace all year long. In this Lunch and Learn course Olivia will discuss her personal story and first-hand experiences as a transgender woman in the workplace. This event aims to help provide a foundation of understanding of LGBTQ+ terms and concepts while illustrating the ways in which we, as colleagues, managers, mentors, and people, can be better allies to the trans community. Navigating the workplace can be a difficult task, but it is our job to ensure that the workplace is made a welcoming and safe environment for all. Save your spot here!
