Equality Utah Student Scholarship Open!

We are very excited to announce that Equality Utah’s Utah Student Scholarships are now available! This scholarship is open to all LGBTQ and allied students who are planning to attend or are currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university in Utah.

Students who are facing financial hardship and have the greatest potential to succeed in college will be given priority. The funds can be used for tuition, books, and other educational expenses. Any remaining funds can be used for rent or other immediate needs. Please take your time to complete the application form carefully and accurately. The Equality Utah College Growth Scholarship does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

The scholarship is worth $2,500 and will be awarded to those who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to LGBTQ equality.

Scholarship recipients will receive:

  • Semesterly funds that can be renewed for up to 3 years
  • Monthly mentorship program
  • Free tickets to annual Equality Utah events

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an LGBTQ or allied student who is planning to attend or is currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university in Utah.
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Freshman and Sophomore students must be enrolled full-time.

LGBTQ Utahns have tremendous potential to be a positive force in the world. Equality Utah is happy to do their part to ensure the next generation have the opportunities and resources they need to soar through life.
