Hello, June! Summer is just around the corner, and The Shop is keeping the momentum going in Brooklyn. We’ve got a full lineup of events this month to keep our BK community connected, inspired, and energized. Here’s what’s ahead:

RESIDENT ART SHOW
In collaboration with the 420 Carroll residential community, The Shop BK is excited to spotlight the amazing artists in our midst. We are looking forward to welcoming the community for the following programming:
Saturday, May 30 (4pm-7pm): Opening Reception.
Sunday, May 31 (12pm-3pm): The show will be open for additional viewing hours.
Monday, June 1 (9am-2pm): Members of The Shop BK who weren’t here over the weekend will have a final opportunity to check it out on Monday until 2pm.

Thursday, June 11: Member Happy Hour
Take a moment to unwind and enjoy conversation with your fellow members & community team over our weekly happy hour.
Friday, June 12: Community Day
The Shop BK team will out of office taking part in a day of community service. The space will be unstaffed.
Wednesday, June 17: Wellness Wednesday
Give yourself a midday reset. Refreshing iced tea and light snacks will be set up in the Cafe; swing by before finishing the day strong!
Thursday, June 18: Member Happy Hour
Catch up with your fellow members and The Shop team over our weekly happy hour!
Friday, June 19: Juneteenth
The Shop will be unstaffed in observance of Juneteenth.
Saturday, June 20: Creatures of the Canal Block Party
The Carroll Street Bridge is finally open and the Gowanus community is getting together to celebrate. We are thrilled to take part in throwing a block party in collaboration with Arts Gowanus, Van Alen, Mookntaka, Gowanus Dredgers, and others! Wednesday, June 24: Happy Media
Happy Media’s Cawfee Tawlk is celebrating New York Music Month with a networking hang for the broader music community. We’re looking forward to welcoming them back to The Shop BK!
Thursday, June 25: Member Happy Hour
Kick off Pride weekend a little early! We’ll be enjoying cocktails made with spirits crafted by a queer-owned, NY-based brand.
Friday, June 26: Cookie Club
Cookie club is back! Join us in the kitchen for a sweet treat to round out your week.
