Culture Guide to Fall in SLC

Fall has begun in Salt Lake City and we started to feel it with the drop in temperatures! We’ve curated a Culture Guide of our top list of Fall activities that are a must-do this season. Grab your favorite flannel paired with a pumpkin spiced latte, and have fun!

 

Oktoberfest// Snowbird | Saturday and Sundays through October 16  | 12p-6p

Free Admission, $10 Parking

Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a family-friendly affair with activities, food, and, of course, brews for days — weeks actually. Snowbird’s Oktoberfest attracts thousands of visitors each year making it one of the largest festivals in Utah.

 

Nightmare on 13th/ Salt Lake City |Daily through November 5th| 7p-12a

Consistently rated as one of Utah’s best haunted houses, Nightmare on 13th[17] is one of the most terrifying attractions in the state. Get a group together and head to the 36,000 square-foot haunted mansion for a brand new terror-filled adventure featuring professional actors, animatronics and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

 

WitchFest// Gardner Village |Daily, Mondays-Saturdays through October 31st | 10a-6p

Free Admission, $7 Parking

If you visit historic Gardner Village mid-September through October, you’re in for a real treat! And maybe a few tricks as well as the witches come out to play during the annual WitchFest in West Jordan, Utah. The menace is intentional each year as crews begin working on WitchFest, Gardner Village’s 45-day celebration of everything witch, complete with witch displays and a scavenger hunt to find them. WitchFest is Utah’s premier Halloween festival.

 

Sundance Halloween Ski Lift // Sundance Ski Resort |Starting October 20, Mondays-Saturdays through October 31st | 7p-11p

Geared to be family friendly, the Halloween Lift Rides last 45 minutes to an hour and take place on Ray’s Lift. Fun games, hot chocolate, & snacks are for sale, as well as blankets for those who forget. Weather permitting, a complimentary Halloween movie plays at the base. Reservations are required and ticket(s) are available for purchase online.

 

Witchstock Festival//Ogden |Saturday, October 22nd | 1p-10p

Free Admission, $35 for Witch’s Tea

Witchstock is an annual event created around seasonal festivities including Witches Tea, Zombie Crawl and Monster Bash. This event highlights local nonprofits, businesses, artists, music, and performance space while highlighting Ogden’s Historic 25th Street.

 

Wheeler Farm Pumpkin Days//Wheeler Park |Starting Daily September 22-October 31 | 10a-8p M-F, 9a-9p Saturdays, 9a-4p Sundays

$10 Admission

Come and enjoy Halloween and Fall Colors at Wheeler Historic Farm. Activities range from pumpkin picking, cow train ride, corn maze, and more!

Trick or Treat Street//Utah Olympic Oval |Saturday, October 8 |3:30pm-5:00pm

Free Admission

The Utah Olympic Oval is proud to host Trick or Treat Street: An indoor trick-or-treating event like no other! Little ghouls and ghosts are invited to travel the Utah Olympic Oval for tricks and treats from local vendors, sport clubs and community groups.

 

Halloween Cruise//Provo River |Starting October 20, Mondays-Saturdays through October 31st | 6:30p-9p

$9 Admission

Take a ride on a boat down the Provo River while listening to stories, drinking hot chocolate, and looking at pumpkins!
