Culture Guide to August in SLC

We are in the thick of the dogs days of summer in Salt Lake City! Lucky for you, the heat hasn’t stopped our social calendars from filling up. We’ve compiled this month’s Shop SLC Culture Guide to help you make the most of it. Check out our recommendations for the best place to grab a bite or night cap after the can’t miss events that are coming up quick.

Flankers SLC – Watch the game from all angles at the coolest sports bar Salt Lake has seen yet. To make things sweeter, Shop Members get discounts throughout on their favorite bites.

Eggsburgh – The newest spot to grab brunch is right downtown! With a menu of – you guessed it – egg forward bites, it is a yolkin’ good time!

The Ruin – It may be new to Main Street, but The Ruin has been a go to spot for cocktails and small plates in Sugarhouse for years. The vibes start from the moment you walk in the door and are met with neon and bottles of unique spirits for any palette.

Alpha Coffee – Women and veteran owned Alpha Coffee is officially in downtown Salt Lake! Taking over the old Village Baker spot in the Eccles Building. Make sure to swing by next time for a latte!

Urbanniversary – Salt Lake’s own Urban Lounge turns 21 this year! Celebrate with an indoor/outdoor mini fest featuring an amazing lineup of Say Hey, Savage Daughters, Kipper Snack, Herring, Jacob Skeen, Angel Magic, The Mellons and Cathy Foy and the Mellows! Grab a bite from local food trucks then head to Blue Gene’s for an unforgettable birthday party. (P.S. Shop Members, we’ve got your ticket covered – talk to the Community Team for details).

Equality Utah Allies Dinner – Join Equality Utah for the largest LGBTQ fundraising event in Utah! Back in-person and bigger than ever, tickets and sponsorships are still available for this year’s Allies Dinner. Featuring special guest, comedian Eddie Izzard and a dress code of Cosmic Vogue – it won’t be a night to miss!
